Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy A05s is a pretty standard phone with a rounded rectangle shape. The phone has a glittery finish and likely features an all-plastic body. The unit measures 168 x 77.8 x 8.8 mm in dimensions and weighs 194 grams. On the back, we are getting three camera setups, vertically aligned on one another.  It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the left side of the phone.

On the front, the phone features a 6.7” display with a centrally aligned waterdrop camera cutout. It is a PLS LCD panel with a colour depth of 16 million and 90Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it is capable of FHD+ i.e. 1080 x 2400 pixels of resolution. The Samsung Galaxy A05s itself is available in three different colours: Light Green, Silver, and Black.

Performance

Samsung has opted to go with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 680. It is based on an energy-efficient 6nm process node, and an octa-core chipset capable of achieving a peak clock speed of 2.4 GHz at best. Accordingly, it should be able to provide the phone with easy basic gaming capabilities.

Furthermore, the phone features 6GB RAM and a storage of 128 GB. You get to expand your storage up to 1TB with the help of a MicroSD card. The phone runs on Android 13 with Samsung’s OneUI on top with the “Samsung Galaxy Experience”.

Camera

On the back, Samsung Galaxy A05s features a triple camera setup. The primary camera is a 50MP sensor with f/1.8 maximum aperture. Both the other cameras are 2MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. One of them is a macro camera, whereas the other is a depth sensor.

At the front, we get a single 13MP unit with f/2.0 aperture on Samsung Galaxy A05s. It is capable of 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second. On the other hand, the rear camera offers 1080p@60fps video recording capability.

Battery and the rest

Powering the entire unit is a 5,000 mAh non-removable cell. It also supports 25W “Super Fast Charging” through USB Type C, the version of which is USB 2.0. Furthermore, it offers a five-way navigation system with GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, and QZSS. It supports dual-band WiFi with WiFi Direct and features Bluetooth v5.1.  It has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
